In 2004 Mulalley were pleased to be selected by
Toynbee HA to be their first cyclical works partner.
Mulalley’s decorating division has a long
history in the residential sector and were able to assist Toynbee
to identify their partnering requirements.
The initial programme of works comprised 200 units
situated in East London. Initial discussions enabled value
engineering and programme savings to be identified whilst ensuring
the best quality product and service was provided to Toynbee’s
residents.
Following the success of the Year 1 relationship
the partnership was extended to additional areas of North, East,
West and South London with various units in North Kent and
Gatwick. The works consisted of external repairs and external
redecorations with communal staircases. The units consisted of
houses and flats up to 4 stories high.
Access was gained using various forms of plant
such as scaffolding, cherry pickers and vehicle mounted mobile
platforms. The contract had one main site compound with numerous
satellite smaller compounds throughout London. Mulalley had
decorated some of the units five years previously and were able to
provide expert advice regarding the best value paint finishes for
the scheme.
