Mulalley were delighted to be appointed to this
two-year refurbishment and Decent Homes framework to regenerate
two 1960’s estates located in the middle of Docklands.
Located in the shadow of Canary Wharf, this £10,000,000 project
will refurbish 8000 kitchens and bathrooms on the Barkantine and
St Johns Estates.
These estates were previously part of the new Tower Hamlets
Councils housing stock and were transferred to a RSL Toynbee
Island Homes (part of the larger Toynbee HA) following a vote
under the “Choice” Programme.
The programme has been a great success with completion of the
internal works currently 3 months ahead of schedule, and the
Residents satisfaction levels exceeding 90%.
As a community benefit Mulalley constructed a temporary Prayer
room for the St Johns Bengali Welfare Organisation in only 30
days. The community were delighted with our efforts.
