Following on from Mulalley's successful completion
of the early phases of the £25 million refurbishment of the
Brooks Road, Plaistow, (including the stunning transformation of
Smiths Point) the next phase, which includes the similar
refurbishment of Tanner and Nicholls Points commenced in autumn
2007.
Due to the extensive nature of the works, the
residents of both blocks are being decanted, with the residents
moving back into their refurbished homes in late 2008.
Mulalley were appointed to undertake this scheme under the
provision of an existing long term partnering agreement and based
upon the positive customer feedback received from the residents of
Smiths Point after the refurbishment of their block.
The schemes involves the total internal and
external refurbishment of 2 tower blocks including
* New thermal and rain screen cladding
* Replacement windows, doors and glazing
* Remodelling layout of existing flats
* Replacement kitchens and bathrooms
* Replacement Heating and Water supply
* Rewire
* Enclosure of private balconies
* Complete redecoration
* Refurbishment of common parts and entrance
* New entry phone system
Mulalley will work in partnership with an integrated design team
including Designers (PRP) and specialist Supply Chain partners to
provide a seamless design/installation process.
