In 2003 Mulalley were selected by London Borough
of Islington as their partner on the £3m pilot Decent Homes
scheme. Mulalley were an integral part of the design team on this
PPC2000 project that was completed to the Client and Residents
satisfaction.
Following this pilot scheme Homes for Islington,
the new ALMO set up by Islington Council, instigated an intensive
OJEU selection process for their 2004 – 2008 Decent Homes
programme of work.
Due to our experience and expertise Mulalley were
successful in being appointed to this new framework. During the
initial phase we worked intensely with Homes for Islington in
setting up the Core Group, including working on Best Value
Reviews, Staff Awareness Days, with Residents and assisted the
ALMO in meeting the new housing management standards.
Since our appointment, Islington achieved 2* ALMO
status and have embarked on a major investment programme to meet
Decent Homes standards.
Mulalley are pleased to be appointed as one of the
major framework contractors to assist this new ALMO to meet its
needs. We are currently working on a number of estates within the
Borough delivering a range of internal and external Decent Homes
works.
In the year 2005/2006 Mulalley undertook works to
a value of £6.5 million, £12.5 million for 2006/2007 and have an
anticipated £10 million workload for 2007/8.
