In 2007, Mulalley was appointed as a Design and
Build Constructor for a new five double-storey height Construction
Technology Block at the College of North West London.
Mulalley liased closely with the client and
project team during the design process and value engineered the
project to meet budgetary constraints.
The building comprises piled foundations with a
combined concrete and steel frame with a number of cladding
finishes including glass, timber, zinc and render.
The new block has been designed to maximise
natural light and space and provide a comfortable teaching
environment
Internally it will include construction training
automotive repair and testing facilities and teaching space for
specialist electrical, gas and welding trades.
The building is designed to highlight a variety of
the latest construction techniques and materials and will be used
as a teaching aid for construction studies and learning.
