This
project comprised the refurbishment of 87 domestic properties for
the London Borough of Camden. External works comprised brick
cleaning, brick repairs including large areas of repointing,
window overhauls and replacements, reproofing works and
decorations. Internally works were undertaken to communal areas
including new door entry systems, electrical upgrades, new floor
coverings and decorations.
All operations in both single and multi occupied
dwellings were carried out with the residents in occupation, a
number of which were leaseholders.
The caring approach displayed by Mulalley towards
the residents of this project was rewarded with a Silver
Considerate Constructors award in 2006.
These properties were in close proximity to a main
railway so it was impossible to erect normal scaffolding. To
overcome this difficulty an innovative combination of fibre glass
scaffolding and absailing were used after close consultations with
the network rail authorities and their safety teams.
