Mulalley Training Manager Lisa Jennings, and Barry Day Strategic Relations Executive, represented Mulalley at the Hackney Olympics Jobs Fair held at The Ocean centre in central Hackney on 12th March 2008.

Also in attendance were Robin Nelson a Construction Management Trainee and David Foster Waldron an experienced plumber who managed the Mulalley Challenge. Robin was recruited via Hackneys Construction job initiative, On-Site, based in Dalston Lane and is currently working on the Hackney project.

Along with other Hackney Decent Homes Framework Partners the Mulalley stand was inundated with local residents looking for full time employment opportunities.

The ‘Mulalley Challenge’, an interactive activity to show how to wire a plug, change a washer on a tap and rehang a cupboard door, also attracted many visitors

Many of the visitors were looking for work and training opportunities in plumbing and there was much interest in the future RLO opportunities.

Jonathan Edwards, Olympic Triple Jumper, made a guest appearance at the Job Fair and visited the Mulalley stand to lend his support.
