2008
is the fourth year that Mulalley have partnered with Croydon
Council to provide Decent Home Standard work to their homes.
A budget
of £8m has been allocated this year to the highly effective team
in Croydon headed by Colin Gager Senior Projects Manager. In
addition to this the team has recently agreed with the Council to
carry out all the adaptation work in the borough. This will be
managed alongside the Decent Homes work and lead to efficiencies
in both time and cost for the client.
The four
site managers Ralph, George, Jack and Neil are currently managing
the opening of 15 homes a week. With the assistance of four RLO’s,
led by Jean Wray, they are looking to hit the target of completing
the kitchen and bathroom refits within the 12 day target.
An
extensive network of warehousing facility is now provided by
Mulalley to manage the logistics of this project. Space has also
been made available for the Council to store water butts which
will be installed as part of their environmental awareness
campaign.
On an
environmental theme this project was achieved a Bronze Envibe
environmental award in 2007 and the team is currently working
towards a Silver Award for 2008.
