On 31st July 2007, following a nine month procurement process, Mulalley was signed up by LAPN, the procurement consortium for ten London ALMOs to help them save millions of pounds on housing maintenance contracts over the next five years. This major General Building framework also includes Wates, Balfour Beatty, Apollo London and Lakehouse Ltd.
With £42m of works already agreed for 2007, LAPN is one of the largest and most ambitious procurement efficiency initiatives attempted by local government. Gordon Perry, Chief Executive of Kensington and Chelsea TMO and Chairman of LAPN, told the meeting “Setting up LAPN had taken three years of hard work and organisation but it has been worth the effort - we will now reap the rewards of our intense efforts to bring this together”.
In addition to the major General Building category there are 9 further specialist workstreams whose members will work independently or with Mulalley and their partners.
"This is a momentous event for LAPN. We can push ahead with our plans to save London’s ALMOs £60 million or more on major works programmes over the next five years.
" Gordon Perry, Chief Executive of Kensington and Chelsea TMO and Chairman of LAPN.
