This project required the installation of
new kitchens and bathrooms, roofing repairs, window
replacement, external works and general decoration to 537
residential units. Throughout this project, the highest
levels of consideration have been shown towards residents.
Six full-time Residents Liaison Officers were employed at
the site and they made individual contact with each
resident to explain the required work and deal with any
concerns. A residents rest room was also provided,
complete with kitchenette, comfortable furniture and
television, and a wheelchair ramp was provide for visitors
to the offices on site. The site also staged a Fun Day for
residents, and painted a hoarding area green to blend in
with the adjacent recreational area. The maintenance of
clean and tidy approaches added to the safety and overall
good presentation of the working area. This site developed
its own manual and action plans to stimulate and encourage
considerate site practice. In doing so, and with their
great attention to detail, the site staff far exceeded the
requirements of the Considerate Constructors Scheme's Code
of Considerate Practice to present exceptional performance
levels.
