This project comprised the internal
painting and decorating of 224 sheltered housing
properties, complete with communal areas and some external
decorating. The site was situated in a residential estate
known as The Glebe, close to Heathrow Airport and the M4.
The contractor was aware of the vulnerability and special
needs of some of the residents and the Resident Liaison
Officer dealt with the individual tenants on a day-to-day
basis, ensuring that good relationships were maintained
with the tenants. The site compound was unobtrusive and
caused minimal disruption to the tenants. Standards of
safety, housekeeping, recycling and cleanliness were
excellent. This project received many complimentary
letters from the tenants and was a wonderful example of
considerate construction at its best. The client,
Hillingdon Homes, said: "The Mulalley site team have
continued to demonstrate and achieve site practices and
procedures that clearly reflect their wholehearted
commitment to being a Considerate Constructor, working in
a culturally diverse and challenging environment".
