"This was a 'Decent Homes' project
for the largely internal refurbishment of 625 occupied
low-rise dwellings over a wide area of the London Borough
of Brent.
Site Manager, Graham Hornett, and his
enthusiastic project team colleagues made determined
efforts to ensure all residents were kept fully informed
about the proposed upgrading of their homes throughout all
stages. An Open Day was held and a 15-page Information
Pack designed to lessen the impact of what might otherwise
have been an enormously intrusive and upsetting
experience. Flexible arrangements for surveying each
property were scheduled.
Resident Liaison Officers were on hand to
assist residents and a purpose built Respite Unit was
contained within the project's excellent site welfare and
office facilities. Mulalley's keen commitment to be a
Considerate Constructor is identified by its 'Considerate
Questionnaire' given to residents for feedback, and by
personnel wearing 'Have I been Considerate?' logos on
their high-vis jackets."
