"This project involved the
refurbishment of a 14 storey occupied tower block in East
London of 56 flats, including underpinning of some areas.
A pre-start film and excellent introductory pack was
produced for all residents and distributed to around 400
neighbours. Multi-lingual notices were used and the
Mulalley "have I been considerate?" hi-viz
jackets and cards scheme was in operation.
The site set up was excellent with full
provision for residents and a full time uniformed RLO was
employed. The RLO office was fully used by the local
community as a respite area, for meetings and as a
children's play area.
Quiet periods were provided during the day
during noisy works and the Considerate Constructors Scheme
code was fully covered in the induction video. This was an
example of excellent work with the community."
