"The
works involved alterations to 59 occupied flats, all part
of a south London residential estate, including new
windows and some front doors, some new electrics and
extractor fans, balcony canopy remedial works and external
redecorations.
The
key to this site's performance was the excellent
communication and liaison with the residents. The site
manager was also Residents Liaison Officer and he held
pre-start meetings with all to discuss the scope of works,
programming, etc, and introductory and follow up letters
were provided which included Peter's 24-hour mobile
contact number. Separate letters were also sent out
describing the potential dangers to children.
Residents
were given satisfaction completion sheets that also
included provision for comments or suggestions for future
works. All areas were kept clean and tidy at all times and
all the site personnel were inducted via a high quality A3
flip chart type system and then provided with ID cards
that were formally registered.
The
site set up was very good and presented a highly
professional image of the building industry."
