Judges Comments: This contractor and his staff have a past record of complying well with the Code of Considerate Practice. This contract was carried out with the tenants still in residency and had excellent tenant liaison and co-operation. The whole of the tower block was scaffolded and curtained. Dust and noise were very carefully monitored. During one noisy operation tenants were quite happy to wear 'ear defenders' whilst sitting watching TV!! Customer Care Questionnaires were used by sub-contractors on site..
