Client: London Borough of Hillingdon

Judges Comments: Throughout the refurbishment of this block, the residents, many of whom were elderly, remained in the property. So extra care and consideration had to be taken in all areas. A separate unit was set up for residents away from the building work where the contractor supplied tea, coffee and biscuits. A special access was set up for the residents through the project to minimise disruption. Lawns and flower beds were all maintained in excellent condition and any damage was rectified.
